This dainty perennial displays a mist of pink or violet flowers and delicate foliage in fall. The needle-like leaves turn maroon as they age. Slenderleaf false foxglove often grows among grasses and forbs in wet meadows. It readily self-sows and, like other false foxgloves, is partially parasitic on the roots of other plants; thus, it does well when mixed with other species, particularly oak trees.
